The First Annual J.J. Allen Scholarship Golf Outing Fundraiser to be Held This Summer,
2009 in New York

Glendale, NY March 20, 2009- Web Based Sports Solutions, Inc., is organizing a golf outing to be held in Long Island, New York this summer (2009). This annual fundraiser will introduce and raise funds for the J.J. Allen Student-Athlete Scholarship Award.

There will be a per-golfer donation cost to participate in the golf event. Details regarding the fundraiser will be announced in April 2009.

Funds raised by the golf event will go towards the First Annual J.J. Allen Student-Athlete Scholarship Award which will be handed out to one (1) male and one (1) female student-athlete registered with CheckMySkills. The official rules and time lines for the award will be announced by April 30, 2009. Registered student-athletes of CheckMySkills will have to provide a nomination letter, with 2 recommendation letters along with a short essay.

The winners of this award will have to excel on and off the field and in a manor similar to what made J.J. Allen such a remarkable person. J.J. touched the lives around him day in and day out through out his battles with cancer. J.J. Allen, one of the best players in the history of the Marist football program, died Dec. 31 from cancer. He was 28 years old.
