Former Marist Football Player, Joe Peltak, Moves to New York to Join Teammates Vincent Gandino and Reid Ellis as the Promotions Coordinator for CheckMySkills

Glendale, NY - September 29, 2008 - CheckMySkills is excited to announce Joseph Peltak (aka Big Joe) to our staff as our promotions coordinator. Joseph was a teammate of Vinny Gandino (founder) and Reid Ellis (sales/ account relations) at Marist College and was a 1st Team All MAAC selection as an offensive lineman his senior year. In high school Joseph was a 4-year letterman in track & field indoor, and outdoor, wrestling, and football.

Joseph then attended Dean Junior College in Franklin, MA from 1994-96 where he was a two-year starter, and then enrolled at Marist and played offensive line from 1996-1999. After college Joseph played for the Marlborough Shamrocks a semi-pro football league in the EFL league. Unfortunately in the fourth game of the season Joseph ruptured his Achilles tendon and his football career came to a close. Now his football career runs through coaching high school football for St Francis Prep where he is currently the offensive line coach.

"I firmly believe that kids today need a site like CheckMyskills and it will be a huge success with helping student-athletes overcome the challenges of becoming a better student-athlete, and finding the right college for them” said Peltak “ I am excited and blessed to be able to be a part of such a great program like CMS and am looking forward to helping student-athletes for the future."

CheckMySkills is looking forward to the future and with addition of an old Marist teammate becoming a big part of CMS it only brings more knowledge and that winning attitude that we all learned as college athletes.
