CheckMySkills Introduces Karen Gandino as Lead Expert of the Academic Center
Glendale, NY - October 1,2008 - CheckMySkills (CMS) is
proud to introduce Karen Gandino as lead expert for our Academic
Center. Karen, wife of Vincent Gandino (Founder) brings the
intangibles to the Resource Center that will help each and
every student-athlete as they get ready for college.
Karen is a high school guidance and college counselor. She assists
students with all aspects of their life, from college counseling
to emotional and behavioral counseling. Karen is also the Program
Coordinator and an Adjunct Professor for CUNY's College Now
Program where she coordinates the College Now program to enable
high school students an introduction to the college experience
and gain college credit while still in high school. Karen teaches
a Student Development course designed to assist students with
adjustment to college including learning styles, leadership
skills, career planning, diversity and study skills. Karen
has worked with both high school and college students promoting
higher education since 1996.
With Karen’s experience the Academic Center will be a great place
for kids to get answers to the tough questions involving college
and how to get into college.

everything he or she needs to be successful on and off the field."
